Just hours after the leak of the HTC HD2 and Motorola Cliq XT price leak, another leak regarding the launch dates of these two devices have surfaced. According to the leaked information, Motorola Cliq XT will be launching on March 10th and the HTC HD2 on the 24th. Besides these two phones, T-Mobile will also be releasing a T-mobile mobile broad band ready Dell Mini 10 netbook on the 24th as well. It seems that T-mobile will be having a busy month this month and plenty of goodies to offer.

The month of March seems like a Christmas season for mobile devices this year. Another carrier leak shows the pricing of the HTC HD2 and Motrola Cliq XT. Again, it will not be far until the release of these two handsets. Though this is exciting for some of you, it also has some few disappointments with the OS of these two handsets. As many of you may already know, HTC HD2 will be shipping with Windows Mobile 6.5 with Sense UI.

First and foremost, let’s just get out of the way that we here at FifthTech understand why Microsoft has chosen to include a minimum specifications for their upcoming 7 Series devices. They have a lofty goal in mind for their software, and they don’t want it to be tarnished by some kind of horrible hardware. The User Experience is more than obviously a prime concern for the Big M, and we agree with them: this is the way to go.

Today marked a historical moment, if not a significant benchmark, for Microsoft. They’ve gone ahead and announced their next mobile Operating System, calling it Windows Phone 7. While they still plan to support their previous efforts, such as Windows Mobile 6.5 (and 6.5.3), this new series of phones is brand new. A new model, a new User Interface, and a different look on how the mobile phone should operate in the user’s hand. Microsoft has taken a quick, and distinct departure from their previous outlooks on what the phone should be, and this new outlook is something that anyone, especially the combination of media enthusiast and business person, can grasp onto fully.

There isn’t much to go on here, other than the fact that this real-life shot of the Legend from HTC looks exactly like the render everyone saw a few months back. The optical mouse at the bottom is positioned right where the trackball of yester-year would have been placed, with what looks like touch-sensitive buttons right above that. There aren’t any real surprises in store for anyone who picks up the successor to the Hero, but we’re sure we’re not the only ones who think this thing is attractive.

Considering how fast things get passed around on the Internet, we’re surprised that it took this long before anyone got a chance to see what the myTouch Slide would look like. When it was first rumored to exist last week, we half expected to see shots of the device the same day. But alas, we had to wait a bit longer, and while we realize it may not be the flashiest handset to get released this year, it doesn’t look half bad, either.

First and foremost, this image came up over at GSM Help Desk, and they were very quick to point it out as being the HTC Obsession we’ve all been waiting to see. There’s a reason we’ve all been waiting to see it: Windows Mobile 7. And right there, should give you all the information you need to see why this device is not the future HTC Obsession, or Diamond3.

It may not necessarily be Motorola who wants you to check out this crazy concoction of a phone and keyboard, but perhaps someone at Motorola. These blurry-cam shots of a render of a future phone are pretty fantastic, and by that, we mean out of this world. Sure, the MOTOSPLIT may not be the craziest phone we’ve ever seen rendered, but it’s pretty close. And that may not be a bad thing.

We doubt it. Simply put, there just hasn’t been a lot of murmurings regarding the next installment of Google’s mobile Operating System. There has been talk about what it would be called (Froyo, for Frozen Yogurt), but that’s it. And, in point of fact, when Froyo was mentioned, it seemed to be almost in jest, or to clarify points that had been misconstrued in the past. It did not seem, in any way, like a way to introduce the next version of Android.

If you’ll recall, we’ve actually covered a previous story in which the rumor trolling around, based on some pretty credible evidence, was that AT&T would be receiving the Pre and Pixi from Palm some time in the first half of 2010. As we mentioned at the tail end of the article, we asked the question as to why AT&T would not be getting the updated models, as Verizon Wireless is set to launch in two days time. Well, it looks like we may have received that answer after all.
