The CelleBrite system is designed to allow for easy phone book transfers. By connecting one device to the “source” side of the box provided, and your “new” phone on the other side, you can run through the lists provided by CelleBrite to make an easy transfer. A lot of tipsters out there release images like this one, to showcase that a phone is on its way to the network’s systems as well.
As the image shows, the Calgary is definitely listed there. Upon first glance, it looks like the model number of the device is not visible, but then we realized that it clearly is, even with the flash. We can see the Calgary’s model number as “A555″, but that really isn’t important. We go by nicknames here. And although the flash certainly does plant itself right over the front of that “-lgary” word, we can safely assume that stands for Calgary. It’s also worth mentioning that the Calgary is listed, here at least, as being the source device. That means in this scenario, someone is transferring phone numbers from the Calgary, to another device. While it’s not a deal breaker by any means, it’s a bit strange.
There’s also the large possibility that the Calgary’s name would appear in the destination list as well, but that the photographer didn’t think about taking that picture as well. If this were the only image, or leak, regarding the Calgary’s existence and future release on Verizon Wireless, we might not count it as much. But simply put, it’s not. We’ve been hearing about the Calgary for quite some time, and its subsequent launch on Verizon has been right there with it, all the way.
