Leak, Mobile, News

There isn’t much to go on here, other than the fact that this real-life shot of the Legend from HTC looks exactly like the render everyone saw a few months back. The optical mouse at the bottom is positioned right where the trackball of yester-year would have been placed, with what looks like touch-sensitive buttons right above that. There aren’t any real surprises in store for anyone who picks up the successor to the Hero, but we’re sure we’re not the only ones who think this thing is attractive.

As we said above, there aren’t many details around regarding the Legend. We know that it’s running Android 2.1, and we know that HTC has gone ahead and placed its User Interface, Sense, over that Android version, making it look all nice and shiny. Other than that, we’re probably looking at a 3.2-inch, LCD screen, and an aluminum body. So that means it will be solid, for the times you drop it. While the handset is still a ways away from release, the more we look at this image, the more we are beginning to think that this may be, in fact, just a pre-production device. If that’s the case, we really hope the aluminum body sticks around: it’s a nice change of pace.

As soon as some more details get leaked regarding the Legend, we’ll be sure to update you. If you’re a fan of Android, and if you love Sense UI, then this is just another one of those phones you’ll probably start drooling over soon enough. If you haven’t begun to already. We can’t wait to get our hands on one, to play around with that optical mouse. We’re sure it’ll make a great new way to navigate through the Android system, along with selecting text in web pages and other applications.
