Halo: Reach Beta- First Look (User Interface and Powerhouse)

This past Thursday we managed to snag a code for the Friends and Family Beta that Bungie released to many companies and through their Twitter and Facebook accounts. And with that we put in several hours of gameplay to provide you with our first impressions of the beta which will be open to all tomorrow late morning PDT at the latest. However, be prepared for extended download times, as a couple million Halo enthusiasts all attempt to download it at the same time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Expected This Holiday Season

Following in the Call of Duty tradition, Treyarch has announced the name and release date of the newest installment of the long standing series. The game will be known as Call of Duty: Black Ops, which we can easily deduce will feature a campaign based off of top secret missions that take place outside of the realm of the public wars.

Activision Welcomes Bungie Into Family With 10-year Deal

Activision appears to be attempting to rectify their folly with Infinity Ward, but not by reconciling the differences with them. Instead, they have just signed an exclusive 10-year publishing deal with game designed Bungie. Yeah, you read that right, with the creators of one of the most successful gaming franchises in history, Halo.

Say Goodbye to Infinity Ward?

Still holding your breath in the hopes that Activision and Infinity Ward would mend the huge schism that opened up back in March? Well, it looks like it’s time to exhale, because Activision may be full out closing the IW studio after the release of the second map pack for Modern Warfare 2, meaning any chance of a good Call of Duty title coming out again would be slim (we don’t consider Treyarch’s attempts at Call of Duty games ‘good’).

IS01 By Sharp, An Android SmartBook.

Japan is known to have one of the most technologically advanced mobile devices in the world. With features such as ‘osaifu-keitai’ ,  which turns your mobile phone into a credit card which can be used on vending machines, online purchases via laptops, or in stores. ‘One-segu’, live TV streaming services, and many other features. Even with these advancement, Japan is still falling behind with Android devices. At the very moment, Japan’s market have the HTC Magic, or myTouch, and the two upcoming devices Xperia X10 and HTC Desire. However, with the announcement of IS01 by Sharp, Japan now have an Android device from their own country.

AT&T To Get Another Android Handset

Since its first launch back in 2007, AT&T and Apple have accomplished and succeeded so much over the past 2 years with the iPhone. However, what goes up will eventually have to come down. It seems that AT&T has finally found the beauty in Android OS and its devices. According to recent rumors,  AT&T will be getting their hands on the Galaxy S, the newly announced Android handset from Samsung. This device was announced at CTIA this year as being Samsung’s high-end models.

AT&T Microcell Nationwide Launch in April

The AT&T Microcell was first announced last year with a limited trial period. However, starting next month, this Microcell will become available nation wide.  The Microcell is a mobile broadband extender that you can have in your homes or offices to improve your call quality, and 3G coverage. AT&T will charge an one time fee of $149.99 after a $100.00 mail-in rebate, but there will be an option for a separate $19.99 a month family talk plan. This plan allows for an unlimited calling through the Microcell.

HTC Evo 4G(HTC Supersonic) Now Official

It is finally here and it is a monster. HTC Evo 4G was finally announced at CTIA by Sprint this week and this device might take the throne as the best Android device, once it becomes available. This device looks almost identical to the HTC HD2 as far as the form factor goes. However it is what’s under the hood that separates this beast from the rest of the pack. The HTC Evo 4G features a 4.3 inch WVGA capacitive display, 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of ROM, 512 RAM and Android 2.1 with Sense UI.

Palm webOS To Hit The AT&T Shelves

For quite a long time, AT&T was stuck with their Palm Centro as being their last Device from Palm. Now, that is going to change in matter of months. If you are of those people who love their Palm and are on AT&T, your patience has finally paid off. AT&T and Palm has confirmed that they will be releasing the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus in the coming months, hopefully around summer time. Though the launch date is still unconfirmed, the pricing for these two devices have been announced. The Pre Plus will start at $149.99 and $49.99 for the Pixi Plus.
